A towering hot dog with creamy avocado, bright tomato and mayo over a steaming vienna.
Ingredients
- 2 pcs Hot Dog Buns
- 2 pcs Vienna Sausages
- 1 pcs Avocado
- 1 pcs Tomato
- 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 pcs Lime
- 10 g Cilantro
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
Method
- Halve and scoop {avocado}, then mash it with {kosher_salt} and a squeeze of {lime} until creamy but still slightly chunky. Finely dice {tomato}, season it lightly with {kosher_salt}, and finely chop {cilantro} if using. Keep the {avocado} covered so it stays green.
- Bring a small saucepan of water to a gentle simmer over medium heat, add {vienna_sausages}, and heat until plump and steaming through. Keep the water at a bare simmer so the skins stay tender.
- Warm {hot_dog_buns} cut side down in a dry skillet over medium heat until lightly crisp at the edges and soft inside.
- Set {vienna_sausages} into {hot_dog_buns}, spoon over the {avocado}, then pile on {tomato} and a generous stripe of {mayonnaise}. Finish with {cilantro} and a final squeeze of {lime} for brightness, serving right away while the sausage keeps the topping warm.
