Halo Halo
An icy riot of creamy, fruity sweetness with chewy bites and a finish of melting ube.
Ingredients
- 500 g Crushed Ice
- 80 g Sweetened Jackfruit
- 100 g Sweetened Red Beans
- 100 g Sweetened White Beans
- 100 g Nata De Coco
- 100 g Macapuno Strings
- 160 ml Evaporated Milk
- 120 g Ube Halaya
- 100 g Leche Flan
- 20 g Pinipig
Method
- Place serving glasses in the freezer briefly so the {crushed_ice} holds its texture longer when assembled.
- Divide {sweetened_jackfruit}, {sweetened_red_beans}, {sweetened_white_beans}, {nata_de_coco}, and {macapuno_strings} between chilled glasses, layering for color and chewy contrast.
- Mound {crushed_ice} generously over the fillings, packing lightly so it stays fluffy rather than dense.
- Pour over {evaporated_milk}, then top with {ube_halaya}, {leche_flan}, and {pinipig}. Serve at once so the ice stays bright and crisp.
