Haring Met Uitjes
Silky cured herring with sharp onion, pickles and a bright touch of parsley.
Ingredients
- 4 pcs Matjes Herring
- 1 pcs White Onion
- 80 g Pickles
- 1 tbsp Parsley
- 1 pcs Lemon
- 0.25 tsp Black Pepper
Method
- Finely dice {white_onion}, slice {pickles}, and chop {parsley} so the garnish is neat and sharp against the soft {matjes_herring}.
- Arrange {matjes_herring} on chilled plates, spoon over the prepared {white_onion} and {pickles}, then season lightly with {black_pepper}.
- Squeeze {lemon} over the {matjes_herring}, scatter with {parsley}, and serve at once while the fish is cool and silky.
