Ingredients

  • 250 g Ground Pork
  • 250 g Ground Beef
  • 1 pcs Onion
  • 1 pcs Egg
  • 1 tsp Summer Savory
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower Oil
  • 2 tbsp Parsley
  • 1 pcs Lemon

Method

  1. In a large bowl, grate {onion} finely, then add {ground_pork}, {ground_beef}, {egg}, {summer_savory}, {cumin}, {black_pepper}, and {kosher_salt}. Mix firmly until the meat turns sticky and cohesive so the {kyufte} hold their shape, then cover and chill.
  2. Let the kyufte mixture rest in the refrigerator so the salt seasons deeply and the proteins bind for a juicier, tighter patty.
  3. With damp hands, divide and shape the rested mixture into oval patties about the width of your palm, pressing lightly so they stay tender.
  4. Heat a grill pan or heavy skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Brush with {sunflower_oil}, add the patties without crowding, and cook until deeply browned on both sides and the centers reach a safe temperature. Rest briefly so the juices settle.
  5. Transfer the hot patties to plates, scatter over {parsley}, and serve with a squeeze of {lemon} for a fresh finish against the rich meat.
